Bit late but here you go -

I seem to remember reading something at the time about him placing a crisp packet in the payout cup of a LoTR and setting fire to it, but whether that was true or not I don't know. Hell of a blaze though.

Thanks.
I did hear the person involved was a well known player back in the day.
How unlucky must he have been.  Done his bollocks in and then his fire (I assume to try and burn the tubes out and get the coins?) got out of control and he ended up doing 3.5 years in prison.
Anyone know him?

Used to be a fair few machines at birch, although I once got started on by some wierdos when balls deep into a crazy chair. They were waiting for me to win something to presumably try and rob me on my way out. Luckily they gave up in the end.

Never had much luck there either, so I havent been in a while haha.

Can only assume there was a bite night at birch services and it did not play well for him

Had one give a flat about that much in once, about a tenner later it did a double mmmmm for 210! Probably helps explain how they can then suck a £300 loss off the next punter!

Could trap JP / MS on them, or trap the skill feature, which was JP capable. Back when machines were fun!
