The grand national

Everyone in the country has a go on this but last year betfred payed 1 less place then all of the other bookies so im hoping to avoid going there this year. If anyone gets any offers or promo's could they post them here for everyone to use. Betfair still have the best prices on everything currently and i found william hill hvae 2-1 that syncronised will start the national favrouite which might be easy money as this week mcoy gave the impression hes on it.

It will be very hard depending on the ground. I like Giles Cross who likes it soft and Seabass and Cappa Bleu and Shakalakaboomboom who don't. I will wait until the ground confirmation.

My local ladbrokes had their sweepstakes running already on the national yesterday. £2 a pop and I pulled out number 31. Apparently the horses and numbers haven't been paired yet so no idea what horse I'll end up with.....I never win the sweepstakes anyway...

....come on reverse psychology, bring home the bacon ...

Have to agree with Russ on this, I probably won't even bother as well, I never normally do.

Until about 5 years ago, with enough research it was quite easy to find the winner. Now the handicapper has changed the way of looking at the race it makes it harder. Still easy enough to narrow it down to 7 or 8 and with decent odds, back most of them for a profit. Mon Mome was nice!

Well I've got a mate who has had quite good luck in the last few years on the national, he always sends me a horse to back and I've never backed it.

In the past he's tipped silver birch, Don't push it & just missed out with King John's castle although he was on him each way so still made some money.

So I've just had this years text,

Seabass

So watch it come last lol

What odds you got for Seabass?

20/1 mainly across the board at the minute, although 32red are giving 25/1 but don't have an each way market.

I went with BetVictor on Tuesday.

Seabass @ 20/1
Chicago Grey @ 18/1
Shakalakaboomboom @20/1
Quiscover Fortune @50/1
Giles Cross @12/1

Quiscover Fortune @ 50/1 is a very good E/W bet.
