Mark On Fires 2012 Gambling Diary

I pay £185 to my parents each month - Some weeks I often feel like I spend more time at work / out than I'm at home anyway  lol

Which is probably how I got into such a mess with the £500s ironically enough - Too much disposable income...

be mad to buy at the moment with borrowed money, with a few exceptions, only way that can go is losing what ever deposit you put down plus some negative equity.

When there starts to be wage inflation(rumours to be not budging till 2020 at earliest, then will be the time to pile in).

Gives you 8 year to get together a 25% deposit, though it is forcast that the average house price in the UK will be £450k+ come that time.

Essentiallially under 35 who are not currently on the "ladder" "waterfall" what ever name you want to give it had little chance of home ownership via a borrowing and mortage debt.

If you "come into money" then its most likely you will be better off investing and renting rather than all in a brick box on some land.

To top it off wife is on sick and may lose job, so my diary might be a bit plain for a bit.

Actually did that last week.

Took off HD Sub which was £10.50.
Took off extra bedroom sub £10.50,
Basic broadband saving £7.50,
and 25% discount on pack for 12 months saving £5 or £6.

Total £32 odd.

i pay £625 rent, me and misses wanted to save for a place of our own but couldnt stand living at home with family(brothers!) so we decided to rent.

i get about £500 spare after all bills and rent paid each month and my misses gets about the same so we could save alittle each month but it never happens!

The downside to renting is it never really feels secure as the landlord could decided to kick you out with only a few months notice.

Most of europe rent so why dont we? thats what i said to my misses anyway!

I did something like 350 in York which is a little more then I would of liked but I've been good for the past few weeks and I'll be good for the next few to build up some funds.

I'll update tomorrow when I've worked out a proper figure.
