Bet that 1.50 was in the machine already but too embarrassed to collect, thought hed gamble to a fiver and collect.. Ha ha

Increased government tax revenue through VAT, and an increase to our economy through more consumption. I can't see the total abolition of gambling as being a negative thing in all honesty. Money will still be spent, but elsewhere, supporting manufacturing, raw material, transport, cashier, managerial etc. jobs in much more quantity than a bookmakers would.
Think if that £20k was in a store, that would support 10-15 jobs. A bookmaker supports maybe 5, it would be a net contribution to society, the economy, and would increase everyones quality of life through the positive economic benefits, albeit at the consequence of betting industry, which while supports thousands, is nowhere near the level of jobs supported if the money was spent elsewhere.

That was just the end of the consultation, not when they make a decision by. One article said it was likely to be May-July at the latest.

I am going to try £200 friday on the new King Kong Cash FOBT game, i tried a cheeky £20 yesterday and got bonus on 50p stake and it went to 2nd top feature (not the shitty barrel game) I should of gambled to Big Money as the feature collect went £7. I can afford it and it will get that new game itch out of my system. Did alright a few months ago on the two other new games, ark + leaders.

sure your better to play the online version at same stake for lot better potential.

I don't do any online at all, but yes that would be the more sensible option. My option which is the worst, will clear my itch for another 4-5 weeks which I am fine with.

The new "stop n step" video on the kong game has put me off slightly, was thinking instead getting the new monster hunter game ps4 and then using the rest as extra spending money when I go with the lads to morecambe (afternoon) and lancaster (night) tomorrow. Will decide after I finish work at 4 will try and take some piccies if anything happens. But the reason I posted this was I actually play for fun (yes I know what fun!). I have been google mapping morecambe this week and the arcades look smaller than i remember but there is a massive "Eric" spoons that might provide light gambling entertainment.
