Increase to £150 jackpots

The reason they want to increase the stake/prizes is because the machine making has reduced. This would mean that current £100 jackpots would need an upgrade to £150, thus increasing money as they would no doubt be an upgrade available to them, thus an additional cost to the supplier and additional revenue/profit to the manufacturer. The number of new machines would increase which would increase (temporarily) the machine build numbers, increase in cost to supplier, increase in revenue to the manufacturer. That is the only reason they want the increase, as it increases their revenue, thus profits, over a short period of time before they ask for another increase to do the same again. They need to make them bit on the crap side of pay as £100 is a lot...and then that would cause wear on the parts inside and increase repair costs to the operator, which is probably partly why bel-fruit scrapped some boxes and made them digital/magical lights. Its not been about the person playing for quite some time, its a business-business transaction and some level of corruption within. Basically it will continue happening until the cost to build/maintain is less than the amount made by the operator/supplier during the life of the machine. as then it would be EV- for the supplier, and they would simply go bust! with new machine costing at a guess £3k and upgrades probably £500, there is certainly profit to be made in the sector every single time there is an upgrade. In summary, a lot of people forget that its a business-business transaction that bears the reason for the constant upgrades, not the player perception or footfall, or even revenue/profits per machine, its only about the player when they disappear completely, and until it costs more for the machine than the machine makes in profit, thats how it will continue to be.

They were greedy asking for £2 stake aswell as £150 jp which looks likely to backfire and end up in no change. £2 stake is ridiculous for awp and is purely to promote/profit from those random slots on digis

then don't read it haha! the point is its the extra revenue the manufacturers want, not necessarily the increase in stake/prizes, and  way to force it is to campaign for higher jackpots. Short term profit for long-term decline, I suggest we all find something better, cheaper, and more effective to entertain ourself with...

There may not be as much money in that as some programs will still have a £70 option, or £35 option if the game goes back far enough, and thats not profitable for the manufacturers so they wouldn't lobby for it

Just saying! Seperate it into paragraphs lol

You just know if they got the £2 stake there would be places on 72%?

The rule should be they can't ever make more than 10p per play, so pub fruits would have to be 90% on £1 and and 95% on £2.

Were machines ever supposed to profit 28p per spin when the maximum win is only 100x and very very rare? (current 100s)

If they just rolled out the same old shit but double the stake it would be absolutely scandalous?!

5, 10p fair enough as you get some sort of a game but it should stop at 25p surely....

Miraculously managed to read all of that in my current state, happy new year to you all let it be a lucky one.

If the machines turned over decent, consistent revenue i.e. continuous punter/player interest then surely the basis for that argument would be void? You can look at it from both ends of the straw really, punters being heavily shafted on "done" machines like a burnt 23 or power, not gonna want to play one of them again are they, or punters working out that the £100 jackpot presented actually means fuck all and the most they can ever win is £25 when it'd roughly cost 3/4 of that to even get on the board? What provokes lack of interest more?

£50 jackpot they wouldn't be able to argue what they've argued since going from £35-£70-£100 that increased stakes and prizes leads to bigger cashbox takings. They've backed their self into a self-destructing cycle. Im literally considering travelling to mr p's or whatever in weston-super-mare nowadays to have decent punt for £100, in Weymouth everything on £100 and that will be lot in 30 minutes in a pub
