I know it's sick to say it but I don't mind a quick go on these with Genie Jackpots and Golden Pharoes normally getting my attention.
Question is - they say they are Category C Compensated yet the x2, x4, x5, x10 gamble is "100% random" - but how can it be if is compensated? Or... if you win a "random" gamble does that mean it will just block reel wins forever?
It is nice gambling a £2 win x10 to get £20 - better than 8 trail held-lose on a Toastbusters in a row...
£10 in Golden Pharoes and first press spins pyramids for hidden treasure. £5. gamble x2, save a few quid, x10 gamble and it lands, £60 odd collect.
End up getting involved though, play down to about £40 and switch to Genie Jackpots which is just eating money, then it warms up a bit and after some nice x10 gambles again think I walked about £30/40 up but could've walked £50+ up earlier but a good recoverwee anyway.

You can have a base compensated game with a random gamble.
Say you win £5 then the compensated part of the machine registers that you've won £5. You then random gamble it and lose. The machine still thinks it's paid £5. Likewise if you gamble to JP the machine still thinks it's paid £5.
Not saying that's how these games works but they could do.

That makes sense. You can certainly tell the base game is compensated though. Dead spin after dead spin and then all of a sudden 3 bonuses within about £15.
Similarly on Golden Pharohs - Magic Mirror appears far more often when it's "happy" - that feature can pay anything from £3 to £60 though from past dabbles.

That wouldn't work mathematically.
The random gamble win amount would still have to be counted against the compensated payout.
Think of it like old dond games where the box was actually random. It protected it's compensated average payout by blocking the deal game once it paid a jackpot. Exactly the same process should work with the king of games.
These days the Novomatic machines don't block the deal game but fix the box and offer amounts to the value in the machine.
So actually these might be a good gamble if the base game is 'happy'.

Yep that makes sense - if someone "randomly" wins £100 from £1 x10 and then x10 again, it will just give no wins in the base game for ages.

But they’re not compensated to begin with.
They’re random and shit! If you’re going to play them might as well just be playing then at the same stakes in the bookies where they’re equally as shit.

bookies rtp have now dropped to silly lows, game % should be displayed next to stakes.
decent arcades/bingo halls still offering 94% games, not sure what direction the bookies can go with stake limits.
not followed the share prices for highstreet presence, guess betfreds float is on hold

the titan 100s in my local cashino have some games on 94% at all stake levels inc 25p!. Bookies are taking the piss now, but it's good in a way as it has severely reduced my playing time. Gone back to £1e/w lucky 15s and the odd £10e/w singles. In fact without any effort to do so, I'm not gambling half as much as I used to, guess i just enjoy it less. I've increased my earnings significantly the past 6 months too so if anything I could do more.

Some of the new 'games' on Ladbrokes terminals are horrible.
I never check out the % but they have new stuff where you can 'win' 5p or 8p or even 4p on that Rhino thing off a 20p spin. I mean what's the thinking behind that? I've also had the bonuses come in for free spins and I've won.....NOTHING! "Your free spins total - £1.20" etc
As for KoGs - are these just going to be around forever? Kraken/Cop the lot and whatever over and over again with no updates? So tedious

Yeah I'm not a fan of partial-credit wins. Blueprint is ok in that department because the lowest win on most of their B3 games on £1 is £1. Reel King / Thai Flower minimum win of 50p on £1 stake I can just about tolerate, but Monty's Millions winning in multiples of 10p is just ridiculous

raging rhino had 10p and 20p stakes until some quicksilvers put complaints in as 2 p wins locked up the payouts
as the payunits couldnt pay out less then 5p in coins so it errored the ticket weridly enough

Just put gamble all wins on. I tend to go for the free spins anyway on the gamble, no point collecting 38p.
