Your gambling year
#1
December is nearly upon us, I was just wondering how everyone's gambling year has gone? Have you gambled less or more, or about the same?  Are you up, down or about even?  What's was your best win or worse loss?  Favorite machine, worst machine to avoid?  Do you plan to gamble more or less in 2015 etc, etc.

I have not played at all I don't really miss it.  Because having money to do other things is nice and as more time goes on by the urge to play becomes less and less. So my high is point is not playing and my low I guess is not playing as well  ;D

I have to say it's been better than I expected  :)

When the 100s arrived back in January I thought I'd run out of things worth playing by June at the latest. That is other than things every tom, dick and harry is competing for.

Still got some tucked units and a few 70s although things are drying up now. Also I don't play when I'm out with mates so the coming month's opportunist plays will diminish what with meals, booze ups, etc.

Worst loss - £300 in one night but got half back by the end of the week I think.

Gambling - I rarely do that - everything I play I play knowing that there's a high % chance I'm going to profit or break even.

Up or Down - Up

I think next year will be tougher.

been better than expected for me aswell. thought the 100s would kill things for me but its pretty much the same as the 70 days, apart from alot of new machines are shite!

which leads me to believe that this time next year everywhere will just be full of rigged dond machines good enough for beer change at best, but im not too arsed. looking to give up playing. or atleast stick to beer change in a pub on the odd occasion. tbf i only play a couple of times a week at most now usually. just dont have the time/machines are getting shitter/getting bored or driving round gambling. used to love a good round the country punting day(s). the thought of that sounds shit now. keep saying ill give up for good but i think ill always like a good flutter. just want to make a bit more money, and go out on a high, then become a munter.

as for profit and loss, i havent got a clue. id like to argue im up a fair amount. pretty skint right now really and have had some hefty losses, but then when you think about all the wins, including some of my decent 500jp wins (and being like 700 odd quid up in a couple of hours the other day), and the amount of stuff ive bought with my profits then i recon im nicely up.

Decent year for me although I echo what others have said, these new rigged deals will eventually be everywhere and is there really any potential to make a living from them...

Time will tell I suppose, if the last 10 years are anything to go by it seems likely methods for them will turn up!

Not being smug but I'm finding stuff lasts a little longer nowadays.

Most players are tightening up with who they talk too and what they talk about.
The future is much like the present, only longer.

Gonna really cut down the waste next year! There's too much shit and rigged stuff out there now and I'd rather buy something for the money instead of blowing it all away  :rave

Great year for me, although all the good stuff seem to be getting pushed into shit hole pubs with dick head landlords! still good money to be made!

Had a good year and am nicely up.

In a year's time however I'm in the doom and gloom camp. If there's stuff currently on the likes of Winfall and Box 23 then fair enough but Bellfruit's latest machines are just as bad if not in some ways worse than the shite Reflex and co are putting out.

There's currently good machines in the bigger pubs (which is good as I live in a city centre) but in a year's time these will most likely be gone and a spoons will have as their "old" machines the current shit alongside the new shit they've produced. This process feels like it's already starting. E.g. biggest spoons here has Alice, Midas Touch, Jiggin Jackpots, Crazy Chair Gold, Winfall, Hot Shots, Pure Gold, Best Offer. That's a pretty terrible selection considering 8 machines!

Time will tell of course...

Try going to romford town centre. 2 spoons and a goose pub we have:

2 Winfall, jigging jp, best offer, 2 midas touch, 2 box 23, 2 hotshots, fiddle a fortune, crazy vegas, and about 4 assorted other blueprint games ie kraken/new bank job ones with no bonus trail.

The one machine not made for 2014 is: big one!

Are there methods for any of those jp 24/7 just out of interest! Not asking for details just a yes/no lol!

Best offer pisses me off as it essentially removes the whole concept of DOND by removing the need to ever deal. Though I suppose it does its job at maintaining DOND as a £10-£15 feature.

As I'm in the play random shit camp I had a pretty terrible year.  Just glad that some of my wages this year went to a couple of trips to Vegas otherwise it would of most likely been worse.

I've had one of the best years yet for gambling.

What's changed? £100 jackpot came out for cat C/AWP machines, and I hate them with a passion.  I stick with older £25 jackpots, cat D £5 and I also play cat B3 £500.  I just can't stand the £100!

Have you gambled less or more, or about the same?  About the same, £30 or £40 budget per week.  (reference point is £15-£20 weekly budget back in 2001).

Are you up, down or about even?  I'm up £793.

What's was your best win or worse loss?  I got my first £500 jackpot!  It was off Thai Flower.

Favourite machine?  Thai Flower has VERY good to me, made a raise in 20 out of 22 sessions.

Worst machine to avoid?  Gotta be DOND : Winfall.  A mate and I went halves on it and £90 between us disappeared fairly pronto.

Do you plan to gamble more or less in 2015?  About the same.  As long as it's money that I can afford, then it'll still be a £30-£40 weekly budget.

This year was by far thr worst year of gambling ever for me,most machines now have very little gameplay they take a lot more money then ever before and pay very little.Hence why I've stopped playing them the £500s and £100 machines are just ATMs for arcades, bookies, pubs, and bingo halls absolute  shit.I think you can count on one hand the amount of people who do well and the rest who claim to do well are full of  shit.

I wouldn't say it's quite that bad but I only really play pub fruits so can't comment on the others.

When I go out, I'm still confident I will be making fair profit. No doubting though that discipline plays a bigger part than it ever has. A few years ago you could pitch up in a town centre and know you've got a nice day ahead. I've had days when I couldn't even get round the whole of one town in a day because of the amount of playables available. Now, you might go to the same town and have 1 or possibly even none. That's where the discipline comes in, avoiding playing the shit that's out there, because it's easier said than done when travelling however long for a machine only to find it's now a rigged DOND or anything new for that matter. It's easy to find yourself then playing a machine you dont like and are now not in the right frame of mind to be playing.

Although there is still money to be made, be prepared for a much longer route and the ever increasing chance of being disappointed once you get to your destination. Unfortunately, with the current crop of machines, it all seems to be downhill from here.

One of the worst for me. Had my farewell gamble for reelfruits yesterday, someone there called me a cunt for no reason. Topped it off for me. No longer gambling from now on.

can say in all honesty on the year im up , if i was down would say so

biggest loss around 1 k , biggest win - walked around 1500 up

spawned so many quick 500s that can see next year being a trifle sticky  lol should really go through my phone pics and count em up but at least 6 very cheap from star wars (golds) and too many 500S from rocky to remember

got a fair few pics of the famous rare to get £100 roll in on rocky with maybe 5 different ways of getting it

favourite machine/game rocky or star wars ...........biggest love = £20 spins on reel kings ! but a big fondness for a JPK  :)

best moment of the year £650 from rocky in two presses on £2 stake , gave a £500 gold then never ever in a million years expected a re-roll or coins that gave £150 and i had only just got my ass comfy in the stool so it didnt cost much .................................RANDOM  lol

expecting roughly a million donks as to say one has won on 500s is the devils work

happy xmas !

donk  lol :-*

Interesting thread, for me this year i've played online slots most weeks of this year at various casinos (mixture of bonuses and straight deposits). Kept a rough account of deposits/withdrawals for the year as for me personally I find it helps me to resist the urge to go too stupid with cash at any time.

Overall down roughly 1100 pounds this year in total (approx 500 pounds of the losses were in January/February at jackpotparty when it was closing down, had a terrible run at that time).

Hi bout 2k down this year on fobts. Biggest win 300 on RR. loads of 300 losses on roulette blackjack slots. Even when win 80% of sessions going deep. Haven't played for 3 months no point playing when most of the time losing big or winning 10 when 300-400 in.
