Im currently in majorca. Weathers not brilliant but its certainly not bad. Still nice to get away from mr monds and his factory. Just a shame the euros crap and everything is pretty much the same price as the uk, except fags and booze in the shops, which is a bit cheaper.

Off on another cruise this Summer. I like the mix of everything - all inclusive, including the booze, on board entertainment, including casino when I fancy a gamble in the evening. Get off and have a look around at ports, sun loungers and pools on sea days. Can't fault it.

I'll second that, although I'll be laying off the casino(*) - too much of a busman's holiday.
(*) Ts & Cs apply

When I opened this thread, I had a pop-up window asking for my user name / password for Fruit Chat?! Did anyone else get that?
My holidays are usually day trips, or to see relatives or just chill out. Rarely go abroad. Last time was to France 3 years ago on a booze cruise.

Villamarina was as good as ever, Estrella on draught & a list of about a dozen cocktails. The V House was my prefered choice.
Food spot on, they run like clockwork in the restaurant so barely have to wait for a table.
Towels on sunbeds was my only complaint but you get that everywhere.
Wifi was a bit of a pain to log onto, and dropped quite regular.
Entertainment was hit n miss, couple of really good acts couple of really shite ones.
Only hiccup really was there was no-one at the airport to greet us but a quick phone call from a ful spanish taxi bloke and a 5 minute wait and the bloke arrived, fuck knows where he'd been hiding. They just do a direct taxi now rather than the communal bus all around the hotels.
Red Force, what a fucking rollercoaster that is, but portaventura itself, fuck me I've never seen a theme park so busy. 2 n half hour queue for Shambala and Dragon Khan 2 Hour queue for Furious baco and all the water rides so only got on Stampeda and that was over an hour. The boys managed to get on quite a few things tho so wasn't a complete waste of money.
We'll be going back again in 2019

We'll be going back again in 2019 Brilliant! glad you enjoyed it m8. cant wait for Redforce! got a 2 day pass to portaventura and ferrariland for £50. would never go there in peak season for the reasons you mention. Waiting in a queue for over 2hrs in that heat....no way. We either go in may sept or oct and even Shambhala was a 10 min queue max , most were walk ons.
Love the Villamarina , it is what it is... a 3 star hotel aimed purely at the british and irish market... no arrogant russians here! and like you say the food and drink is spot on.

I paid £175 for 2 adults n 2 kids 2 day pass including ferrari land, ferrari land was dead because there's not really much in there. I think it'll become part of port aventura next year or a really small extra cost for admission.
Loads of Irish there this year, I'd guess about 75% in the hotel where Irish. Someone got married whilst I was there the whole family in tow.
Benalmadena next for me at the end of September for me 40th. No kids this time so plenty of beer to be had.
