England - Gambo - 06-16-2014

I personally thought we were OK, let down by our 2 big players Rooney & Gerrard. But I think we'll still scrape through.

Re: England - steelfixed - 06-16-2014

I think we should be ok as well although a lot more nervy than I'd like to be.

Re: England - PDJ - 06-16-2014

I only saw the second half but thought we did ok. Barkley looked very lively when he came on and will probably benefit from no Rooney as he seemed to be taking Barkley's space. I don't see many changes coming for Thursday althoughI would not play Rooney anywhere but down the middle. Sterling will cause grief to every defence.

Re: England - jokerpoker - 06-16-2014

people criticising rooney.....

he assisted our only goal

created the most chances

covered more ground than anyone apart from henderson.

roys fault for playing our best player on the left wing, daft old cunt

Re: England - keno - 06-16-2014

It was refreshing to see England attack so much, carry that sort of performance in to our next 2 games and we should be ok.

Keep the faith.

Feel exactly the same Ed. I cannot help but get sucked in by all the hysteria involving England.

It might have something to do with the fact that I support Leicester City, so in reality the world cup and european championships is where i can genuinely contribute as a football fan!

That said, I remain optimistic that we will not lose against Uruguay.

All joking aside, after watching Costa Rica against Uruguay, I see no reason why they cannot achieve some kind of result against Italy, so we cannot afford to play for the draw, we must win.

Re: England - voodoo - 06-19-2014

I'm sure on here somewhere I wrote that a Gerrard mistake would cost us, or something to that effect, but I can't for the life of me find the post. Sad
