  New Terminals
Posted by: asfish - 01-12-2018, 08:15 PM - Forum: Clubbers & £500's - Replies (3)

Anyone seen the new terminals in Corals?

They are much bigger and look to have 24 or maybe 27 inch wide screens

Currently in test, so not in every shop, found some in Ascot when I popped into the butchers and had to kill 20 mins whilst he sorted my order out :D

Same games bigger screen, some slots also support "private play" where you can play on a small screen on the front of the terminal ( as you look down)

Had £20 in and £500 dropped in so not a bad first play!

  FOBT stake reduction under threat
Posted by: Boulderdash - 01-10-2018, 08:39 AM - Forum: General - Replies (30)

The new gambling minister is basically a horse punter himself and no doubt has lots of friends at coral and Ladbrokes who will twist his nipples to block the changes.

Could be the fast track to faultys in pubs!

Each fobt made over £50k profit last year...

  Hypalinx's losses for 2017

I like Hypa. His channel is honest.

So to see his profit/loss for the year was quite revealing, especially after the £12,000 rhino win in August.

  Increase to £150 jackpots
Posted by: Billnye7 - 12-31-2017, 06:45 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

The reason they want to increase the stake/prizes is because the machine making has reduced. This would mean that current £100 jackpots would need an upgrade to £150, thus increasing money as they would no doubt be an upgrade available to them, thus an additional cost to the supplier and additional revenue/profit to the manufacturer. The number of new machines would increase which would increase (temporarily) the machine build numbers, increase in cost to supplier, increase in revenue to the manufacturer. That is the only reason they want the increase, as it increases their revenue, thus profits, over a short period of time before they ask for another increase to do the same again. They need to make them bit on the crap side of pay as £100 is a lot...and then that would cause wear on the parts inside and increase repair costs to the operator, which is probably partly why bel-fruit scrapped some boxes and made them digital/magical lights. Its not been about the person playing for quite some time, its a business-business transaction and some level of corruption within. Basically it will continue happening until the cost to build/maintain is less than the amount made by the operator/supplier during the life of the machine. as then it would be EV- for the supplier, and they would simply go bust! with new machine costing at a guess £3k and upgrades probably £500, there is certainly profit to be made in the sector every single time there is an upgrade. In summary, a lot of people forget that its a business-business transaction that bears the reason for the constant upgrades, not the player perception or footfall, or even revenue/profits per machine, its only about the player when they disappear completely, and until it costs more for the machine than the machine makes in profit, thats how it will continue to be.

  New? Machines
Posted by: Hungryant - 12-29-2017, 03:04 PM - Forum: Introduce Yourself - Replies (177)

Hi there. Joined a few months ago, yet to make a post. So here it is. Guess i classify as a lurker(on line). Have never made any kind of post online so im afraid ill probably break whatever kind of etiquette exists on the online community. You'll have to forgive me on that. Was curious why i never saw any new machines being discussed and i gather that you have to make posts to see new stuff? Dont really care about 'tricks' or emptiers but was curious to know about other players experiences with 'new' machines. On that, has anyone played the 'new?' dond beat the clock? You can take this as my introduction and maybe start a new topic, Thanks.
